Following a users meeting at Ryde Sports Centre last night, the facility will now be closed until the week beginning the 12th Sept. While some maintainence will be carried out, it seems that the main reason for the closure is to give those responsible for the site some time to make the necesary arrangements that will allow the sports centre to continue business as usual. The message to users was that after the two weeks things should be back to normal, with no changes to cost, opening times or payment plans in the short term.

It was openly discussed at the users meeting that the site has been profitable for the past two years, so the question on everyones minds was “why should anything change?”.

Stay tuned here for updates about the availability of Ryde Sports Centre (or whatever it is going to be called). A meeting is being held at Ryde Sports Centre on Tuesday 30th Aug for users of the facility. Lets hope we get some information.
