Isle of Wight Junior Squad Has Second Battle of Hastings

The Isle of Wight Junior County Squad entertained the Hastings Badminton Club on Saturday January 31st at Ryde High School.  Hastings brought a squad of about 30 juniors, who following their defeat at the Islanders’ hands in November 2008 were looking for their revenge.  However, the Island team made a terrific show of again coming out as overall winners.  Detailed results will follow when they are collated, but early indications are that the home team swept the board in the boys’ and girls’ singles in the Under 15 category.   Squad and combined photos are shown below, together with a few action shots.
