Sad News

It is with regret that we have to announce that Melvyn Price, who skippered the county over 65 team for the last two years has recently passed away.  His first success in a tournament was winning the masters mixed doubles in 1998 with Linda Lucas and he followed that success by winning the John Asher tournament two years later with J.Rivers. In recent years he was a member of the Ryde D team that won Div 3 in 2017 and last season represented Newport.

The funeral will be held on Tuesday 11th June 10:30 at the crematorium.

Coaching course

We are trying to run a level 1 coaching course on the Island for those wishing to become coaches. At the moment we would like to know who is interested to find out whether there is a demand. The course will run for three days and will cost approx 225 GBP however this could be subsidised for Isle of Wight County Badminton members. If anybody is interested please contact Mike West (01983556821) or text your name and contact number to 07773227813

Become a coach

If you have always wanted to be a coach and pass on your knowledge to others there is a course to become a Level 1 coach being held at the Westgate centre Winchester in April.
